Energy production
Electricity from renewable energy sources, such as wind and solar, is essential for moving away from fossil primary energy sources. Due to the lack of band load capability, the storage of energy, or electricity, is becoming increasingly necessary. Hydrogen is an excellent storage medium due to its high energy density.
Energy-intensive industry
Operations with a high power consumption very often also have high load peaks. The peaks that drastically exceed the band load are very expensive. Hydrogen is an ideal fuel for reconversion into electricity. The use of self-produced hydrogen as an electricity storage system is particularly cost-effective if you have your own electricity.

Hydrogen consumers
The steel and metal processing industries, the chemical industry and, in future, heavy goods vehicles will need large quantities of hydrogen. Safe and space-saving hydrogen storage is indispensable and often an economic necessity. Industries with chemical processes in particular have the waste heat to operate a metal hydride storage facility very economically. Hydrogen infrastructures are often already in place in such companies. Here, metal hydride technology offers a lever for increasing economic efficiency
